Kris Kristofferson On Writing For — And Outliving — His Idols
Probably one of the worst singers to ever record, BUT what a fantastic songwriter and entertainer!! The man wrote songs that made lots of artists famous. Ray Price, Cash, Nelson, and on and on...... Oh, and a great actor as well.
Ok, that will remind me to sing one of my wife's favorite old chestnuts for her tonite:
I like his singing. But agree what a great writer.
He is one of my favorite singers. I love his singing, the feeling his songs have when he sings. I can't think of a song that KK sings that I prefer by another artist. I'll take KK over Cash version of Sunday Mornin' Coming Down all day every day.
His singing is fine . . . but then I also like Bob Dylan's singing . . . .
However, I never found Kris to be much of an actor. I mean, c'mon . . . his range as an actor is about as narrow as Frank Zappa's Montana farm (you know, the farm he was gonna buy to raise up a crop o' dental floss).
Well Hes the Rubber Duck so... say no more good buddy
He'd be in the history books even if all he wrote was "Me and Bobby McGee".
