Kramer Focus MIJ $80... Opinions?

    So it’s missing the trem arm, case and locking nut plate. It has a name Dremeled into the neck plate. It’s rough.
    The good:
    It don’t look too bad. Action seems ok. Ebony fingerboard?!
    Available.
    Opinions?

    Check that the truss rod works. You can pretty easily fix any other problems it may have if the truss rod is good.

    Finding parts shouldn't be difficult with a little searching.

    Remember that the Focus series was a budget Kramer.

    I had one for a while - it was surprisingly good sounding and playing. I think it was a Focus 3000.
    It was a Standard Floyd, so parts shouldn't be too hard to get. It was small and lightweight, which never mattered much to me.

    Well, now I find they have a MIM Jazz Bass in a hard case under $290... so, there’s that :)

    Yep, if the neck's good, everything else can be sorted. You can have some fun with it, too :D

    I'd go for it. There were different Focus lines/models. Some better than others.
