Just finished a great knotty pine body I got from Marc Rutters. I initially planned to finish it with nitro, but due to the cold weather here in Norway I went with Wudtone finish. Andy @ Wudtone has been really helpful, so I can really recommend this finish as an alternative to lacquer. Especially for woods with nice grain. This finish is clear basecoat with an "aged" topcoat. (There`s also some shellac on the body btw) This finish is super easy to apply, just be sure you sand it really good before you start. And just some light steelwooling between coats. I think it looks really nice for now. And it sounds great acoustically. A really ringing sound, pine sounds different than swamp ash and alder. Think I`m gonna put in some onamac pickups. Some other specs; gold anodized pickguard, glendale bridge plate, C&J Tooling steel saddles, tro-c neck (really thin nitro finish + light aging).
