does anyone know if there are 100% accurate schematics floating around for this pedal? If so does someone make a clone that is 100% accurate and reasonably priced? I have always wanted to try one but can’t afford $2,000. Thanks

Lots of Klones for sale. Ceriatone has a dead ringer clone available.

Having owned and played the real deal (before they were "worth" a small fortune), I can tell you that the Klones are fine. It is a boost with a buffer. There is no magic in the circuit.

The J. Rockett Archer is supposed to be an exact copy. Really good pedal.

I use the J Rockett Archer IKON, very happy with it.

There are lots of clones but J Rockett made the first 1500 of the KTR for Klon before the KTR was outsourced offshore.

    They are all good.

J Rocket Archer is on my board now. Soul Food meat plus 3 is a good one for less money. Ohmless Lorena is also good but pricier.

I had the Soul Food before the Archer and the Soul Food is a bit more "low-fi" sounding to me.

I wouldn't be so set on wanting it to be an exact clone. With my rig, I have used the Tumnus (Which I think is a pretty close but not exact) I like it a lot better than the J Rockett Archer or Archer Ikon which are supposedly dead on.

Point being... listen with your ears not with all the hype :)

Can't go wrong with either the BYOC Silver Pony or the JR Ikon! Have't experienced the Tumnus...

I just ordered a Tumnus Deluxe. The demos sound great, and there's lots of good buzz on it.

One more to add to your 'reading list': The Tone Bakery Creme Brulee. I can't vouch for its accuracy in matching the original as I've never played one, but the Creme Brulee is one I like to put in front of everything and leave it on. Tasty! They now have a Creme Double two in one version. Well worth checking out.

One of, if not THE most highly regarded Klone is the Rimrock Effects Mythical Overdrive vintage spec. I'm friends with the guy who beta tested it for the builder. He owns 3 real Klons, a KTR, and a boatload of klones, and he let me borrow VSMO s/n #1, I gigged it, and it's pretty awesome. He's tried pretty much all the klones and swears the VSMO is 100% dead on "his" real gold Klon.

I have one of these, though there are many variants. It's a great pedal, but I have no clue if it's the same as a Klon and don't care either way. Sounds good and gets plenty of use.

Here's the schem and the explanation.
If you want to make the long story short just get yourself a Rimrock MO Vintage Spec. Alternatively use the search, get tons of klone threads here and at TGP and have fun!

I love my Mythical. Regular version, not the vintage spec. I've heard good things about the Centura but I haven't played one, even at low volume.

I know a couple guys that have clones and they sound great. I can't believe how close the Centura model on the zoom ms-50g sounds. Good enuff for me.
