I hadn't really noticed the absence of birds, but I have noticed that decidedly fewer birds have been crapping on my car lately. I don't really have a problem with that.

Yeah, I don't understand why people are skeptical of "science" with alarmists like you around promoting it. It's a mystery.

Please don't storm Area 51 tomorrow, Kyle. It will end badly for you.

Angry, unhinged ranting on the internet is definitely the best way to get things done.

I'm doing my part to help undo this damage...

I give a bird to someone almost every day when I'm driving....
    Every little bit helps....

Also, I don't know what species you are ranting about. But human beings invented the taco and the potato gun. Therefore, we are awesome.

Why not try holding the birds accountable for their own bad decisions next time, bub. Nobody's making them fly into wind turbine generators.

I'd add bees into the thread discussion as well.

well, while the threads still afloat, I repeat my assertion, expressed elsewhere, that I am all for government by crows. they are smarter than people.

Every species that ever was, is, or will be will someday become extinct. Sad? Sure. I don't like the thought of my pets or my parents or my children (or ME!) dying.
Is one species to blame for another's demise? Maybe, but it would have happened eventually.
At some point for whatever reason humanity will completely disappear and one second later the universe will go on without skipping a beat. For now, I'm just glad to be here.

Oh it's alarmist now to talk about things in an emotional or reactionary way on a guitar forum

Birds are dying, people are taking a huge crap on the Earth. But hey, let's wait for the skeptics to catch up to do something, since they can't think with alarmists crowding their space lol.

Yes, it's alarmist to talk about things in an emotional or reactionary way. Especially things that aren't really things.
That's literally the definition of "alarmist."

(oh, I should add, if that post was satire, then a hat tip to you. Well done.)

such a burden to be the stewards of an entire planet, when we can't even get 3 people to agree where to have lunch.

not certain we are responsible for everything that happens on this planet, nor that we can control most of it.

things happen, bad and good, over and over. change what you can and don't waste your time spinning your wheels over things you don't and can't control. you'll find your life will be more focused on the things you can change and you will be happier.

free advice and worth every cent, your mileage may vary. Catholics seem to enjoy guilt greatly, I'm sure there are many others, no slam intended against any religion, my great grands were catholics. Love em to pieces think they are an intersting lot.

I’m responsible for at least a couple dozen birds and one large gopher turtle taken out with airplanes over the years. Thankfully no deer... but had a close call
