I posted the original thread in the wrong forum(Tabs) I'm not sure how to delete that one...

I heard that song the other day on the local college station. I think that might be the correct name. It's a mid 70's tune I think. It has some truly killer licks in it. Anybody have more info on this song?
Thanks!

I think that may be it! I'll do some research and be right back.....
Yep that's it! I wonder what rig he used to play that. It sounds very much like Hendrix to me.....

Robin Trower just uses a Fender Strat and about 200 watts of Marshall power and tunes his guitar at least 1 to 1 1/2 steps flat.

Saw Robin Trower in a small theater style venue in about 1985. He was so loud, I had to stuff cigarette filters in my ears just to stop the pain.

That didn't do it, so I listened to the rest of the set out in the lobby.

Even Blue Cheer at the Avalon wasn't that loud!

I'm a big Robin Trower fan. His fat tone and one-foot-in the-blues style attracted me. When he gets going, like the jam at the end of Too Rolling Stoned, the notes just flow like a wailing saxophone. He'll throw out a quick burst then linger with that fast vibrato until feedback ensues. His lead style is very vocal in nature. I guess that's why he makes all those faces when he plays.

I'm sure you have heard "Too Rolling Stoned" off of Bridge of Sighs by now. So I thought I'd link another song (from a 1973 show) called "Rock Me Baby" which is a pretty fair representation of the above. The song starts after the 2 minute mark.

edit: BTW the lyric is "Takers get the honey, Givers sing the blues...
