Was watching Marty Stuart on Oprey Livestream last night and was surprised to see Kenny Vaughan playing the Brad Paisley Signature silver tele. It sounded great. I love mine but it isn't a guitar I expected to see in a pro's hands on the oprey.

You need to get to the 30 minute mark to see it in action. Martys Tele sounded magical.

I watched the show. I wonder what he did with the original pick guard? I’d love to buy one to put on my next tele. He always sounds amazing and makes his solos look so easy when they’re not.

Well, you can't do much better than Clarence's Tele.

Lucky enough to get to a show there few years back, also lucky enough for the show to be Miss Parton. Anyways, I thought it was Opry but, never ever got an explanation as to how it came to be named. Help me out anyone?

I think in Kenny's hands ANY guitar will sound good......whether on the "Oprey" or the "Opry"......

Nashville's a small town, Brad might have leant his own guitar to Kenny

I don't know..... it's not exactly hard to find a tele in Nashville. I kinda assumed the just had one in every broom closet in the Opry......

No don’t about it, Kenny Vaughn is a great player and it probably doesn’t really matter about his choice of available telecasters. I feel lucky that I get to hear Marty Stuart’s playing and singing also. The way he uses Clarence White’s old guitar is just luscious.

BTW, I think Kenny Vaughn looks a little goofy in a cowboy hat. But obviously my humble opinion doesn’t mean much and any kind of hat surely doesn’t effect his awesome artistry at playing the guitar at all.

I doubt he’s crazy rich or has the pick of any tele, seems like a working musician to me so it doesn’t surprise me to see him using an affordable tele

Edit: maybe I’m wrong about crazy rich (at least more than I’ll ever see) the internet says different

Maybe he didn’t want to put a bender on one of his old guitars. (Look close)

Country’s answer to Joey Ramone, only 1000 times the musician. I thought he looked badass. What a player!

I got to chat with Kenny Vaughan during the meet and greet after a Marty show several years ago. He was very nice, shared a couple Lucinda Williams' stories which was when I first knew who he was.

He's had that one for at least a year. IIRC, he had the neck thinned a bit--it might have been unfinished. Then he had a Glaser B bender installed.

He talked about it on his Facebook page.
