Not big on Country Music myself, but PBS is broadcasting “Live at the Ryman” concert tonight celebrating the upcoming Ken Burns documentary series AND a preview of that series afterwards, tonight. Series scheduled to begin September 15th. Tune in...

Earlier this aft, I was looking at that listing. Personally, I love old school country, outlaw, Americana, bluegrass, alt country & generally, most things that aren’t outta today’s Nashville charts.

Both kinds of music... COUNTRY and WESTERN!
    I must agree with Frank'n'censed.

Is that a Nocaster that Vince Gill's got?
    I want that.

If you missed it the first time, they're running it twice in a row.

One of the things I like most about country music is that its origin, in large part, was fashioned from the hands of a woman, Maybelle Carter (guitar picker).

Watched it tonight. As a pedal steeler, I LOVE the old country; the new stuff is pure cRAP.

Eight nites in a row, starting Sept 15? Or is this weekly? I'm looking on line, and remaining episodes information is evasive.

Everything Ken Burns has done was worth my time. I'm sure this series will be of a similar quality.

I really enjoyed it. House band was off the charts. The singing/singers were all outstanding and the songs were the finest in the world.

Available to watch, streaming here via PBS website - https://www.pbs.org/kenburns/country-music/

*I assume that there will be eight, two-hour episodes... broadcast on Sundays beginning on the 15th.

Very good article in Rolling Stone - https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/ken-burns-country-music-history-doc-878470/

    And yup, that's Vince Gill's #1 (from PremierGuitar.com)
