Just curious if anyone here has built or knows how this amp was modified.
Tweed Harvard changed to single ended output section with a single 6L6 output tube.
I’ve seen several articles saying what it is but nothing showing or telling how it was done.

I found an article mentioning it. A Harvard modified for single ended 6L6 use sounds like a 6L6 Tweed Princeton. Not much difference between the two other than that.

    I posted this before:

    The "One Love" amp

Richards’ stock guitar amp setup in the studio is a tweed Fender Champ with an eight-inch speaker, combined with a tweed Fender Harvard modified with a 6L6 output stage tube and a 12” speaker, nicknamed “One Love.”

The modification makes the Harvard a single-ended or Class A amp, like the Champ. “The Harvard adds a little bottom end and clarity,” de Beauport explains. “And Keith is always plugged into Input 2 on the Champ, not Input 1. We turn the Champ up to about 4, no higher—to where it’s just starting to break up.” Amps for overdubs included a tweed Fender Bandmaster with three 10-inch speakers and an early-Sixties Watkins Joker. Less well known than the popular Watkins Dominator, the Joker is truly bizarre.

If it started as a 6G10 Harvard it essentially is a Princeton already.

I never knew Richards played through Harvard although those mods make it must different. The only famous guitar player I was aware played one was Steve Cropper.

The Harvard 6G10 used chassis etc from the Princeton. It had a more powerful PT capable to handle a 6L6. The OT doesn't have much info. If "One Love" was a modified 6G10 a different OT may have been used. ???

You think One Love has a cigarette burn on top???

The article says a Tweed Harvard which I would assume is a 5F10. Has a 6AT6 and 12AX7 preamp and two 6V6 and fixed bias. Also has three inputs like a 5F11
I’m just wondering how they converted it to a single ended 6L6.
    Maybe a deep dark secret.

    The 60's version - 6G10 - was still tweed.

So basically Princeton and Harvard traded places.

When it come to Kief alway a bit of mystery with his equipment. Part of the Mojo
I don’t remember where I read it but I thought it was a 6g10 or started out as one.

Ahhh ok. Seems it would be the logical choice then.

And for reference, I just built a 5881 Tweed Princeton with a bigger OT to handle it. This is my Les Paul with SD Pearly Gates plugged straight in.

Here's the "One Love" amp. probably not very useful but easy on the eyes. ;)

The mics seems to be aimed at the middle, which supports the idea that it's a 6G10. The 5F10's speaker is offset to the left.

A bigg difference between the 5f11 & the 60s Harvard. The latter is just a rebadged Princeton.

I really like the fact that Keef had a little nameplate made for the amp. How  is that?

My guy at Franklyn Amps built me a custom Princeton that has a toggle switch to throw when I want to change over to a 6L6 (or 5881, KT66, etc.). My understanding is there are a few changes under the hood (capacitors, beefy iron, higher output OT) and a rectifier change. Then my Princeton stays cleaner for longer. As far as a Harvard goes, you want the 6G10 (Class A).
