hi folks,
i like to get me one of these pedals, but i´m still undecided, which one will suit me best.
i´m playing country from classic to top 40 and use teles into an dr. z maz junior.
i want to have a clean boost, just for getting the up-volume and richer sound for the soloparts to cut through the mix.
does anybody have experience with these pedals and could please give me a hint, where to direct to.
the prize is pretty much the same, so it´s only the sound that makes the decision.
thank you very much in advance for sharing your thoughts.
take care everybody

I'm gonna have to throw another pedal into the mix. The Catailinbread Super Chili Picoso. I had a RC Boost and it's a wonderful clean boost with nice EQ options as well. However, I found myself rarely using the EQ stuff and came to not trust the older model switch, so I traded it toward something else. In the meantime I missed what the RC did and I started looking around at it and other options. The Katana was next on my list to try when I ran across the SCP. Awesome clean boost and about $30 cheaper than the RC and Katana. Does something really nice with my signal. It's probably one of my favorite pedals ever. If your interested, don't go by the samples on Catalinbread's site. I don't know what's up with 'em, but they don't do the pedal justice.

Can't speak to the other peds mentioned, but I recently scored an RC Booster, and it's a pretty impressive stomp. As peds go, it's about as *transparent* a booster circuit as I've played (for reference, I also own and use Z.Vex Super Duper, Prescription Electronics Germ, Klon, MXR Micro Amp, BJFE Sea Blue EQ, and have owned and played a boatload of others). If you do wish to boost or cut frequencies, the RC's bass and treble knobs are very nicely voiced, with a predictable (that's a good thing) taper. Gobs of headroom and output as well, which is always a big deal for me. So far, I've played it with tele and strat through Fender Pro Jr., reissue Deluxe and Vibroverb... have not played it with the Dr. Z or VOX amps, but it seems to be quite the chameleon thusfar. The RC has sounded great at rehearsals this week; looking forward to giving it a ride for real at tomorrow night's show.
