I have the Katana mini . I love it man ...
I play through it all hours of the night and so far I have yet to hear a peep from any of my neighbors (apt complex )
The Katana mini is also a very nice little recording amp if you use a DAW .
    here's what mine sounds like.
The first half of song is my 83 Fender Super Champ then from 1:57 on to the songs end is all Katana Mini

I like the fly 3. It does ac/dc, dirty blues etc. Simple to use. I have a mustang 1 and never use it. Modelling amps are a pita imo. The fly is not digital or full of annoying gadgetry.
The ht1 heads and combos should be cheap now seeing as they are being replaced by the new model. I would get a Blackstar ht1 head and cab or the fly3 stereo pack.

If you get into a simulator digital type of amps you may as well just download amp sim software and use your computer and monitors or headphones. Cheaper and way more options and just as timewasting to setup.

I do have a suggestion: get a 1x8" cab. I have the Vox, the Orange might be good too but I haven't tried it.

You can plug in pretty much anything into it and it will be less loud. Orange Micro Terror, some Hotone amp, even a big amp, doesn't matter. They handle 20 or 30 watts and make any amp less loud, although you wouldn't want to crank it for your purposes.

In my experience, the Fly 3 sounds much better with single coils than HBs. With HBs, I get that 'swarm of bees' thing, but with a strat or tele, it's sweet as honey.

I now have two of the Katana Minis that I run in stereo, and I sold my Fly, because the Boss and Mustang LT25 are superior IMO. I also recently got a Yamaha THR10C which is also fantastic, either on its own or in parallel with the others. Using an ABY box and additional Y cable I can run any combination of all 4 together, and with all four running at the same time I get an incredibly full, rich, and spacious sound.

I get a nice growl out of it using a lil 59 in the bridge and it played well with my sg doing the angus thing. Just need to dial the gain back. I bought a $2 buck Bluetooth adapter and use a xvive with mine. Wireless all round for streaming songs and backing tracks to play over.
Having cables between everything kind of defeats the purpose of using a small compact and portable amp imo.

I've got to try that, because if you go a little too far, it's really easy to pull the whole thing down, because it weighs nothing!

Yes, I got sick of getting tangled up in cables and realised I already had the solution bar having to order that $2 buck Bluetooth adapter from ebay.

I don't have a pic handy of the setup but here's the BT adapter pic bellow, then its just the fly 3 with xvive plugged in to that and guitar. The BT adapter is so small I cant find it.
I know its in the lounge somewhere it's just a matter of going through everything to find it.

It's one of the rare good Ideas I come up with.:)
Works fine in a mustang3 amp and I imagine in anything with an AUX in.
They come in a bunch of colors, black included. I went with white thinking it would be harder to lose but guess I was wrong.

Yup, you've given me some ideas of my own to tinker with. Thanks again.
