First on here.
Originally from northeast Kansas, been in AZ since 1998, right after I turned 20.
Lived in Wichita for decades. Now I am in Texas. Still love Kansas and Kansans though.
Lived in Gardner, KS for about six years. Decided to move back home to NJ.
Had our fair share of tornado warnings while there. Then, the week we were set to move, a small one (or maybe just a big storm) ripped through the town. Took out a couple of houses and cars.
I do miss living there.
Having just made the decision to stay here rather than move elsewhere it is kinda nice to hear these statements.
We have had two solid months so far of perfect Spring weather. And as you know the weather here is very unpredictable!!
I was born in Hays, been back many times to visit and for my job. We moved away when I was 12. Still have family in Hays, Salina, Hutchinson and Wichita. Had many tornado experiences and one of our homes actually had a concrete underground shelter in the back yard. (It's still there)
It is where am from so It's has a place in my heart.I attached a picture of one of our last trips. They were actually working on this road. Yes there was construction somewhere up the road about five miles. As you can see, there are not a lot of trees or anything.
Went to college in Hays for four years... So have very good memories connected with Hays, America. ...as some of the older folks used to call it.
Kansas lifer here...born in McPherson, back living there again after many lives and many travels elsewhere. Other than a pretty much dead live music scene it's a great community and a wonderful place to raise the kids.
Recently moved from the southwest side of the City to beautiful Spring Hill. The view from my back porch...
Lived in Ks. for 48 yrs before escaping in 2004. Miss our friends back in SE Ks., but not the property taxes and lack of stuff to do.
Boy long time since kansas spoke up.
Around Topeka area, just started picking in my sixty, s.
Having fun but not getting far, older fingers not wanting to corporate.
