I've started noticing random pop ups... maybe just two or three a day... asking me to update this or that. Obviously bogus. Curiously, navigating the TDPRI has started causing a pop up to update Adobe Flash, which again, is obviously bogus.

I've been selecting "Remove all website data" every few days... doesn't seem to help. I'm not an IT guy, so that's about the extent of my understanding of what to try.

I was just looking as Safari extensions, and there's one called Ka-Block! that claims to "block advertisements and third-party tracking scripts". Any harm in trying it?

I don't really wish to try a different browser. And I don't care to argue about anything either. Just looking for a little basic help. Thanks!

I use AdBlock. Haven't noticed any issues with TDPRI - and no ads!

No issues from my ManBook/Safari except the Yahoo news home page changed about a week ago. Removing cookies does seem to last very shortly now. I'm still on Snow Leopard though. Did you upgrade your OS very recently? If so, I believe there are issues, so you may want to go to Apple's support/forum.

Upon further analysis, looks like Ka-Block! is more suited for mobile, so as not to use up data to load ads. I read around a bit since I first posted this and ended up going with AdBlock. And it appears to work well. I enabled a few lists and I think it's going to solve my issue.

I've noticed this as well so I have not been spending much time on TDPRI...

I just got that popup, too. What's up with that?

I've been using AdBlock for 3 days now, and have not got the popup here once during that time.

    I highly recommend AdBlock Plus.
