I’ve had a Huge Lion/HB combo in my main Tele for quite awhile now. Awesome set up, sounds GREAT!
I just wanted something different in this guitar. Finally got around to finishing up the Fat Lion/Lion King with a 4 way switch this afternoon. It’s SWEET!
I’m sure half of you out there have this set up, and I did too quite some time ago. I was missing those tones, and now they’re back! Fat, clear, Sweet cleans, amazing overdriven. How could anyone not LOVE this combo?!

Got me a Fat/Bakersfield Lion, SRV Lion neck.

    Middle position is "funktown".

    Neck is, well, SRV.

Bridge is Burton, Nichols, and Rich. Then Messina, with a touch of compression.

Rob is the man. Great stuff.

So is your neck pickup a tele pickup? or a strat pickup?

That sounds like a great guitar!

    Strat.

It's a partscaster. Has a white poplar body and an Allparts TRO-V flame maple neck.

    Great sustain.

I'm using his Nocaster and Lion King.
I'm always looking for something better, and sometimes think I've found it.
Then I plug my guitar in...

I totally agree. I play with different pickups, and some of them are pretty good. But they don’t have that wow thing that makes me smile.

My new favorite Cavalier bridge is the 51/52.

    Gets that Pete Anderson vibe.

I ordered another Fat Lion set to put in a G&L. After playing Cavaliers, nothing else will completely satisfy!

I have the Nashville Lion and Lion King in my number one tele and a Fat Lion and Fat Lion King in one of my jazz teles. Love both sets! Far and away my favorite telecaster pick ups ever!

I've got two Teles--an alder and an ash. Both are outfitted with Cavaliers.

The alder one has a Cavalier Lion King neck pickup wound with 42 AWG instead of 43 AWG and so gets fewer winds and a lower DCR. It has a Nocaster Lion in the bridge with some extra winds to bump up the DCR just a bit.

The ash one has a stock Lion King in the neck and a stock Nashville Lion in the bridge.

If I get another chance at auditioning Tele pickups or have another Tele that needs them, I'd be very interested in the 51/52. For a classic Tele single-coil, I can't see ever using anything but a Lion King in the neck position of any Tele.

I'm very interested in using them for my first build after seeing so much praise in this forum, but being from Europe I'm a bit afraid of customs charges, which could easily hike up the price up to 200€ (still probably a good price considering their quality, though). Anyone from Europe (or outside US) ordered them before?

Nocaster Lion and Nashville Lion are my all time best tele bridge pickups, forever.
