Just wanted to come by and say Howdy to everyone it's been quite a few years since I've been on here and there have been lots of Great things that have happened since the last time I was on here.

Back in 2013 my wife and I decided to make the move to Nashville Tn.from the D.C area where I had been playing guitar in some weekend Country Bands for many years.Well I am happy to say it was the best decision that we had ever made,I worked on Broadway subbing on guitar for the first few months making some great connections and playing with some of Nashvilles Best pickers and singers .After being here a few months I landed a steady Monday gig thanks to my ole buddy Johnny Hiland and I still play that gig every week I have been blessed so much since moving here

I landed my first artist gig a few years ago working for Georgette Jones,George and Tammy Wynettes daughter .It was a great gig and she was a total sweetheart to work for she treated everyone in the band like family and always took great care of us .

That gig ended last Feburary after 2 years there wasnt a lot of work it was pretty sparse .We would usually play a few gigs then it would be another 5 or 6months til we had another show,I left that door open and still stay in touch with her,you still wanna leave those doors open and she still calls me from time to time if she needs anyone .

Last Feburary right after leaving the Georgette Jones gig another door opened for me and I still have to pinch myself about this new gig.I got the lead guitar slot with Country Star Darryl Worley ,I shouldn't call it a new gig anymore I guess lol !! Since joining Darryl Worley and his band I've played the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry many times and I can't what an honor it is,I still pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming .We're currently on tour and have been super busy this spring and summer flying and doing the tour bus thing .We're heading to Iowa and Illinois this weekend ,this is such a great artist to work for and the band is not only top notch players but some of the best folks you'll ever meet !!

You can check out his website Darryl Worley.com and see if we're coming to your town.Come to the show and say Howdy Love to meet you and talk guitars and gear ,I mean what else is there right lol !! Sorry for the looong post just wanted to share my story with everyone and Yes Dreams Do Come True !! Mark Moree aka DblStop.

Although not new by any measures, Nashville now seems to hold first place for the the Capitol of the American music tradition. Nothing much going on in California at the moment but I have the hope that something new will get going. There are many reasons for that, but that will take a completely different thread to discuss that topic.

What a great, uplifting story. Thanks for sharing. And is that you playing the red Guild D-25 in that video posted by Mr Scallywag? I have the very same guitar, purchased over 40 years ago.
