    Nice try, Big Brother.
a few minutes afterwards, I saw a guy jogging down the street in a long sleeve hoodie.

Like, sleeves pushed all the way down. It was dark gray. Let me reiterate that it's 95 degrees here today.

People are crazy. It's almost like they don't know that summer sucks.

I see that on occasion. It's usually a high school or college-age kid. I figure they're on the wrestling team trying to make weight.

I did one year of wrestling in high school. The captains used to show us how to make sweat suits out of trash bags, and they hid a stationary bike in a utility closet near the boiler.

I have a new neighbor. I watch for when she goes out jogging in a cropped tank and running shorts. It won’t bother me a bit if winter never comes.

While I agree, I don't mind at all when it starts to get a bit nippy!

Sometimes my wife and I take long walks. There is a guy, perhaps 10 blocks from here, we occasionally see him in the heat of summer jogging in a long-sleeved hoodie and sweat pants. Every time we see him, he's dressed like that.

We suspect he might be disturbed.

The guy with the hoodie might have been wearing one of those fancy new ones that wick sweat away from your body.

My wife and I saw a mailman in one of those little USPS trucks wearing one in 90 degree weather. The wife pointed out that those mail trucks don't have A/C. Made sense to me.

Schizophrenics often wear coats or multiple layers of clothing, even in the heat.

I think of it this way, all those people in front of you at the post office trying to negotiate with the clerk, they're not just at the post office. Look to your right, look to your left, that guy is probably a moron.

No he's in Florida, and the guy in the hoodie had a baby alligator stuffed inside it.

Might have been a former resident of your State Penitentiary.

I used to be a guard for one and that was a common inmate thing, wearing hooded sweatshirts on the hottest of days...especially around the weight pile. They used to tell me that it made the heat more bearable because it absorbed so much sweat.

It would not surprise me if those guys continue to do the same thing when they return to the neighborhood.

Several members of the high school track team jog through my neighborhood shirtless every afternoon. And it's mid-90's with a heat index around 100. To each his own but unless they jog on a treadmill indoors where else can they practice?

What a coincidence, I was out running in my hoodie today and this guy kept watching me so I put the hood up and pulled down the sleeves so he couldn't see me. It was hotter than blazes but I just kept going until he couldn't watch me any more.

    :)

... then he started to chase me, carrying a 10-foot pole.

Its amazing how some folks don't know when to get out of the weather be it Hot, Cold or Storming! Just a few years ago here in the Katy/Houston area there was a PhD's (a professor at a prestigious university) who died from heat related exposure while out in his garden.

Currently it is 96 degrees F at 5:57 PM (CST)

    Hi.

Last year here, this thing that’s been around a while really gained popularity. Said thing is a nylon jacket or vest with mounting holes in it. You put battery powered fans in the holes and the suit puffs up with cool air.

They look stupid, but with the regular 38 - 40°C plus days here, I’m tempted.

43.9°C reading at one of the schools near me last week, and earlier that week my father in law was taken to hospital by ambulance with heat stroke.
