Not sure just how long I've been a "Doctor of Teleocity", but there it is, I noticed just now.

Some changes are surely in order.

I should inform my company, as I'd imagine I have a huge raise coming. As I mentioned, I'm not sure how long I've been a Doctor now, so maybe I should find that out, and have them back-rate it.

Also I was wondering, what is the proper abbreviation, so I can include it after my name in written correspondence? And, is it okay to allow close friends and family to just keep referring to me in the manner they have become accustomed to? "Dr Blowtorch" seems so formal...

    Thanks for any suggestions!

For less formal I'm thinking the obvious Dr. Blow should work.

Or you go with initials, Bt Dt.

    Edit: congrats doctor.

While Dr. Blowtorch seems formal, I think Doc Blowtorch works. Sort of has the gunfighter thing going.

You had better get prepared for your first question:

    What was your thesis about?

BTW, "guitar" will not be a satisfactory answer.

    Congrats Doc.

To make it official, you have to write your dissertation on Tone.
