We are a three piece band with a stand-alone vocalist, and I've always wanted to produce a song but due to equipment limitations I could not record all of us playing at the same time. So I used the built-in metronome feature of a Tascam 8-track digital recorder and laid it down rhythm guitar tracks into the left and right channels. Then I emailed the WAV to our bass player who added his part, and then to our drummer who added his part, recorded the vocalist and mixed everything at home with Kristal Audio Engine, a free 16-track DAW program. Rhythm guitars were a Fender Stratocaster and a Gretsch Pro jet with Filtertrons. The ambient guitar throughout the song and that lead part at the end was an Ibanez artcore. They were all played through a Vox AC10C1.

    Lol, what limitations?

That song has no lack of talent, no lack of creative spark,
and no lack of lyrical insight. A Triple threat in anyone's book!

There was once a band named Parable. Maybe you've heard of them?
Their famous album, More Than Words, was recorded on a Reel to Reel 8 track.
Very humble setup, but the music was inspired and beautiful.
