Hey gang. So two years ago I got a Ron Kirn T with a Seth Lover at the neck and a Jerry Donahue at the bridge, and it's been nothing short of fantastic.

I decided I should have one backup axe that's every bit as good as my main squeeze, so I dusted off a credit card in full pandemic nuttiness and pulled the trigger on another build. This is going to be a classic-looking blonde ash T with a black pickguard, but with a modern neck that clones the one he did for me last time, and some modern hardware (six-saddle bridge and Schaller locking tuners). And Bill Lawrence Microcoils w a 5-way switch.

Like an idiot I went back to his page and looked at pictures of his past builds. It's a slippery slope. Here's the page that inspired my decision. Mine will look like this. I mean....she just says, "Take me home!" :)

Those look like really nice guitars.

I used to play with those flat bridges. I found I liked the bottom notched but not the top so I could anchor my palm.

Trouble was, the aftermarkets with notches didn’t notch far back enough and my fingerpicking would catch. So I just ground the bottoms off and smoothed them out myself.

I’d like to get a RK one day. He’s a tremendous resource here and knows his stuff.

I know, it’s crazy. But the first one was so good!! If I REALLY had loot to burn, I’d get a strat from him too.
