On it's way! Possibly replacing a Blues Jr. Really excited for this one especially for the headroom/bedroom switch and ability to run an extension if needed; perfect balance between home and gigging. The one knob no EQ "natural" mode is also interesting, excited to try that out.

Hoping to have it by mid week!

Didn't you just get a BJR? And start a thread about how it's almost perfect, asking for tips to take it to perfect? And then got a bunch of settings and EQ tips? Did you even try them in a mix? If not, why run to another new amp already?

dont get your hopes up on the natural channel sounding good at all assuming this amp is still basically the same as the old rocker 30 just with el84s

I'm very tempted by these as well. Played one yesterday at a local shop and thought it was great.

Natural channel sounded great in my opinion. Just keep in mind that its an Orange mid forward clean tone without eq. Its not a fender or vox clean tone. I quite like the warm clean on a good Orange.

The guy at my shop said that the Natural channel is based on a Rockerverb clean channel without eq. The Dirty channel is based on the Rocker 30 circuit.

Not sure how accurate that is, but he's never steered me wrong before.

By the way, the speaker is extremely efficient and loud. Its rates around 102db. It's going to be much louder in full power mode than a Blues Junior

    Congrats.

Tempted also, I am usually not a big fan of most EL84 amps but this one sounds great in all the videos that I've watched.

    I want an orange one.

I had the Blues Jr for several months, gigged on it once (recent). I did get some great tips in that thread, which I appreciate, and I tweaked it extensively yesterday and I'm still am not fully in love with with it.

So rather than continue to try and shoehorn it into something else, I ordered the Rocker 15. If it does the job I will sell the BJR, if not, the BJR stays!

Good luck. Playing one show and deciding the amp won't work, then buying a new one, can become an expensive and repetitive road. Consider Brian Henneman in the Bottle Rockets rocked a stock BJR all over the world for a decade plus. Track down some live vids maybe - his sound is very much like what you described in your other thread, to my ears.

I've played it enough at rehearsal and owned enough amps over the years to know when I'm not getting what I want. I appreciate your feedback, but we're on a gear forum here, what's not to love about trying new things?

Amp is pretty good if you're into playing all different styles of music for sure.

Yes I did receive it! Sorry I haven't posted anything earlier, I will get a video up sometime within the next week. For now, some quick bullet points and a picture! Overall I am seriously enjoying this amp and it will fully replace my Blues Jr. Stays clear at high volumes, more low end than the BJR but tighter, more focused -- and a top end that doesn't "ice pick". Even when pushed to it's absolute limit I felt like the amp and speaker were handling itself efficiently; it's hard to make it sound bad.

    - Switchable wattage is fantastic. 7w was enough to get by at practice with another guitarist and a hard hitting drummer. At .5w I can crank it full volume in my condo.

    - For being a 1x10 it has more bottom than my Blues Jr. But it's a tighter kind of low end, faster response, less mud.

    - The "natural" one knob channel sounds the best to me. I'm using that 100% of the time and I love cranking it to the max and hitting it just a little bit of overdrive (Barber Direct Drive).

More to come, I'll post a video later. I love it!
