    Hi guys,

been surfing the forum for a while now but only just signed up. Got myself a Baja tele a couple of years ago to encourage myself to get into playing again... and it's worked! I love the Baja, it's so versatile and sounds great on all settings.

I'm back in to playing so much that I've just got another tele that I'm hoping somebody can cast some light on for me... the serial number checker on the Fender website says it should be a 2007 burst Highway One but the reality is a bit different! It looks more like a black Nashville style with 3 pickups but I know the middle could have been added afterwards. It also has a bullet style truss but it does have 3 brass saddles and fender tuners onboard. Who knows!??! Are the photos on the website always the correct colour scheme for the serial?

I've not actually picked it up yet either. A friend of mine lives close to the seller and picked it up for me but due to lockdown I've not been able to go and fetch it yet. He plays too and says it's a nice guitar.
I've uploaded a photo and would be interested to hear what you folks think of it.

Be kind!!! (It cost me exactly the same as my 2nd hand Baja.)

Welcome, good to have you here. Nice guitar. I suspect you're right about it being a modded Highway One.

I suspect you might have strolled down the street where my pub is then... it's a 2 minute walk from the cathedral. Lot's of tele owners amongst the regulars!

A couple of years ago the band my mate was in played support on a bill that included Steve Cropper in Lincoln! On a wet midweek night with a couple of hundred people in attendance. It was incredible to see the great man in my adopted home town. Sadly the Albert Lee gig that was scheduled at the same venue this year was cancelled for obvious reasons. Here's hoping there'll be a few more incredible tele players gracing the town's assorted stages before too long.
