I think their songs sound better live than their recorded versions. Very jealous
Saw them on the Disintegration tour. It's was a visual and aural assault. It was awesome.
"Kiss Me..." is so full of the long intros that they had to make it a double LP...and I loved it. They definitely made that "their thing" but it really works for them. Disintegration loud on big speakers is just like heaven.
Reeves Gabrels is the greatest
I gained a new appreciation for Simon Gallup when I started learning to play the bass. Just listening to Disintegration again now, loud, knowing that my wife and daughter probably hate it. It never gets old. Remastered version available free on Amazon Prime. Kiss Me is, too. Those two albums are their peak IMO. Interesting to listen to Kiss Me and hear how their sound and writing were leading toward Disintegration.
Haven't given them much thought for a while, but I will now. Glad to hear.
being old and crotchety, hate the crowds, the ticket pricesthe distance to the megatron screen ... I warned you ,
so I just bought a few excellent live DVDs and enjoy the show from the comfort
Yes I do like the cure and yes they have an amazing live show regarding content and quality of performance.
I saw them in '96 and it was amazing.
