    The baroque flourishes on the bouts/horns killed it for me. OK for Prince but not mere mortals. :)

    That one has been on there a while. I'd be lying if I said I never non-positively modified a bass in my youth, but nothing quite that bad.

    a part of me is tempted...

    cut out that center block and glue up some sides like Les Paul did? haha. I've got a soft spot for guitars done wrong...

    there's something magical about a guitar that's been around and seen some stuff. tonally, it's debatable... but the history around those old bits of wood and metal speak to me...

    that being said... i sure don't have the free time for that sorta project!!

    i see possibilities!

    but 179 is kinda high... which is probably pretty close to what the ebayer is as well.
