    I would go with #6 or #8.

    Where's the ones with Tort?

I'm not much of a tort fan, myself. But the different possibilities are mind boggling!

Looks like Fender should have gone with a rosewood board and creme guard (instead of maple and black), to appeal to the largest number of Tele people.

Yes please, love them all, can't go wrong with any of them. If I had to choose, I would have to say #4 mainly because I love the Telegib thing and that is the closest to the original.

Oh, I didn't know this new color, thanks for the info. :)
It sure looked very pale for a Sea Foam Green!!!

    4. I love the open coil pickups with the black guard. Covered humbuckers look odd to me on a Fender.

I'd be forced to get #5, but I would have rather had a good fat Tele single coil pickup in the bridge.

I recently picked up one of these - thought about a white guard but then settled on matte black (to tame the general level of shininess) with a standard PAF neck cutout (no ring) and black pick-guard screws. Warmoth are true-to-fit. Sounds great with a SD Jazz / Trembucker combination.

pnwkiwi... (Pacific Northwest?). I lived there for many years. Beautiful.

As for the guitar... what a beauty, eh? I can't believe how beautiful this finish is in person! Photos do not capture the pearlescent glow that it has. It just "gleams".

Mine arrived yesterday and I popped the Dimarzio PAF Master pickups and new pots into it immediately. Still thinking about a cream guard, perhaps a rosewood neck. We shall see.

In the meantime, I'm totally loving it with PAF Masters, 1M volume pot, 250k No-Load tone pot. I can't believe Fender built this with muddy offshore pickups and 250k pots. Oh well... those parts didn't last more than an hour at my place. Gone in a jiffy! Oak-Grigsby switch remains. And a Fender Baja '50s maple neck added.

Yep, that’s where we landed in the US and the username stuck with me :) Now in the Bay Area. I was lazy and dropped in an Emerson Custom wiring kit with 500k pots and a regular three way switch. They do really nice work.
