If it's otherworldly sounds they're looking for they need a theremin or a ring modulator.
^ A good tele in general would be otherworldly to them. If you never heard a tele before you obviously just don't know the possibilities/pleasures that you could be missing, ya know?
nearly a year later, i'm back to say i recently played one of these at a shop. man, what an amp! i'm gassed it's so vast. and the vibrato would eliminate need for phase pedals. this amp is a world unto itself.
best $3000 you'll ever spend.
magnatone, that is.
Does Swart make anything in the 30W range? Yup! The Super Space Tone 30. Still, I think I'd prefer the Atomic Space Tone.
Define $3000 for me...could you, hypothetically speaking, buy a $300 Fender Mustang and make the shop up charge you to $3000? Also, is there any allowance for setup and maintenance? The local amp guy works wonders on even brand new amps, but has to charge for his services.
A BF Super with a recent cap job using NOS caps so it could last another 50 years.
the Magnatone does look sweet though
A Fender Champion 20. The aliens would be so happy about the money I saved them that they'd spare the planet.
Yeah I'd buy one of the aliens amps, it's probably like our defense industry where they grant credits for purchase that subsidize our poduction
I'd get a brand new double deluxe Morpheus from Muchxs, but I'd want it to be stereo in a 2x12 cab with high dollar Neo's or Alnico Gold's, even though Muchxs is happy with old Organ speakers. Maybe all NOS astron or mustard caps, along with film filter caps, NOS vintage transformers, NOS chicken head knobs, and more. Anything to rack up cost.
VVT was demoing a new combo amp at the Nashville Gear Expo. I'm thinking it's going to be in the $2500 range when released. Two channel, each channel can be run in 7 or 40 watt mode via the flick of a switch. Progammable foot pedal is included. I'll let the extra $500 go back into the kitty.
It sure is nice that the aliens gave me this extra 3 grand, because I just dropped a bunch on a new Goodsell combo. GREAT amp.
Twenty minutes from my house, born in May of 1966 all original and glorious.
Sommatone Roaring 40 Head w/ Reverb and 2x12 Open Back Cab.
Tone King Metropolitan looks good for me at $2,995
I hope you're tax exempt
10,000 Ziberian Quatlous =$3000.00 US shekals =$4500.00 Kanuckian Pesos
Lots of wiggle room to get the amp taxes in if need be.
Why would an alien give anyone $3000?
aliens...well, they're different. they do odd things. they see our money system as a source of amusement, much as we might see monopoly money. it doesn't mean much to them, and they just throw it all around. they love to see what silly things earthlings do when they get some.
i know this from watching a lot of movies and stuff.
Louis Electric: TREMOTONE AMP $2,995.00 USD
CLASSIC 6L6 SOUND
Based on 5G9 Tremolux
"Tremolux with a bigger sound"
Where are aliens accessing this kind of cash?
Something loud and German. Probably Engel.
