I modded a ts5 a few years ago. I had replaced one diode with an LED,
and also did the .01 cap on the switch. The switch was still intermittent
    at best~just not gigable.

I'm getting ready to play a party and want to bring a new f hole guitar I
built, but it sounds harsh with my ts10. The modded ts5 sounded nice; and
I"ll want to use some OD tonight. So I took a switch out of another old pedal
and it seems to work fine in the ts5 :)

Best get ready to go, and see how it works with a band!

Believe it or not, I have a TS-5 that the switch works every time. First Sound Tank that ever had that the switch works. They do dish out some nice OD.

Sure is nice to have that switch work every time! Hope
it continues to work for a long time. It's nice to have an
OD that works well with my big guitars.

I have a TS5 that's had the switch replaced a couple of times, it needs it again. I love the pedal though, I converted it to 808 specs and with the exception of my Bad Monkey it's my best tube screamer.

Any pics of the guitar you built? Btw, congrats on the fix. Hope it sticks.

Very cool! The TS-5 was my very first pedal and lasted until a year or so ago.

Mine is still going strong, too. It's no longer on my board, but it was on there for a long time.

    Hey Dan~
I've got some pics of builds on my phone, but I'm not great at
figuring how to post them. Maybe I'll give it a try when in a WiFi
    zone...

Great pedal. The best of the plastic potato 5's. (I say that with love; I have a few of them). My switch has held up. Go figure!

I was using the TS-5 as my Low gain OD but got booted off this little board in favor of the joyo Ultimate Drive for low gain. The TS-5 has only temporarily sidelined though, it drifts in and out of my pedal-boards--but is always a keeper. Platefire IMG_20180303_110814782.jpg
