Just finished a diy refret on my beater Yamaha 611. Stainless steel of course :)
Tangs needed nipping as fret slots filled at ends. I couldn’t face grinding them off with a dremel like I did before on my steinberger so I bought the stewmac deluxe tang nipper for a try, claims to work on SS frets and it worked pretty well, though required a scary amount of force. I am pleased with the results.

Wow nice work ! Stainless is a bear to work with if you don't have the right tools and a bear if you do so kudos to you for doing such a great job !!

It is a bit of extra effort to do SS, but worth it I think for the extra durability and the smoothness of bending:)
