Reading Chinese to English autotranslated ad copy is often quite hilarious. I'm sure they get a laugh about our attempts at Chinese.

Go to YouTube and type in "burning fire guitars". You'll see many reviews and quite a range in prices. I ordered mine at $18 u.s. or $25 Cdn. Unbelievable you betcha. Horrible lines absolutely. I expect to spend some time shimming and filing on the neck out of the box but it's probly as good as Epi Junior or Squier Bullet. They're hollow basswood with a nice finish. Check those reviews!

The free entertainment from this thread is far better than the $18 gamble, IMO. :p

I don't see getting an already cheap guitar for $18 necessarily a win. Nor do I see losing $18 (or worse) for curiosity sake worth it. That's a lot of tacos I could be spending it on.

 That sounds like a diss on Squier Bullets? They're quite good guitars.

Squier Bullet necks don't need much work at all out of the box. I have two Squiers and the necks feel as good as my MIM neck tele.

There are worse things to spend $18 on...

Besides EBay and PayPal protections make losing the money entirely very unlikely. For those of us who like to make something out of nothing, like cigar box guitars, it will be fun.

I bought a guitar shaped Christmas ornament for 13.99.
Thing won’t stay in tune though.

The suspicion is that these guitars are either overstock, factory second or customer returned Glarry's.

The newly listed ones from the seller ship from the US. I guess we'll find out even sooner if it's legit.

Not even Chinese people can make money selling and shipping a guitar from China this cheap. I seriously doubt you guys will get anything. I hope I'm wrong.

I contacted Paypal directly. They're going to review the seller account, and should be freezing the funds as a dispute until further notice. IE: They discover a scam seller, or I receive the item.

EDIT: I just checked the tracking and actually says it's in transit. "SMALL PACKETS"
    Interesting.

Ebay has no way to report a scam seller if there is a tracking number provided.

If you want to contact Paypal, it wouldn't hurt.

Positive and negative review can be purchased these days. The negatives look a lot like purchased negatives meant to sabotage new sellers. The seller may be doing the opposite, selling a product at cost or loss to build positive feedback.

But, if the listings are fake, EBay and PayPal will be the losers. Buyers are protected. Yay.

Out of 9 negatives, there are 3 from the same buyer with 149 points, 3 from another guy with 32 points and then some randomers.
the seller counters with "Malicious buyer, package in transit!!!!!!, tracking number..."

    suppose that's what is.
I'm not worried, perhaps a good time to buy some pop corn :):D

Over at SquierTalk someone suggested that the scam might be to mail an empty "small package" and use it to prove delivery. Of course, that would be a "not as described" issue and should trigger a refund. It's also likely that PayPal would place a hold on the account as well, leaving the scammer with little or no profit from their scam.
