they are not even clear about this, when i start a problem request i automatically are redirected to the paypal site.
ebay claims in a popup screen that because i have paypal they have to help me.
maybe this has to do that the guitar arrival is set om ma april 1?

    I suspect that's the case.
my order status said "delivered". maybe it was, but not at my address.
then I could file a not delivered case with ebay.
they will ask the seller what's up until March 31st - allthough they know *that scammer is not a member anymore.
I could not even give a negative feedback because ...*that scammer is not a member anymore.
there's certainly a stupid loophole on ebays side

I'm pretty sure this will eventually be sorted out, it'll just take some time.
    keep calm :)

Ebay refunded me yesterday though my end delivery date is April 6. All I did was start their very simple refund process. Ebay came through and I won't do this foolishness again.

I've just started a claim through eBay. Sure, it's not yet the estimated delivery date yet. But apparently it has been delivered. Err. Nope!

Fully refunded on both orders now.

I do wonder if we will see any real deals comparable to this in the coming days though, given current events.

Sure. However, I'd only buy from a seller with a more solid background, long established selling history and less dodgy feedback. I only went for it this time since the seller had delivered on some basses (at a higher price) to a few people on TalkBass.

I've also gotten some great deals in the past on stuff, new and used, on EBay. With their buyer protections, it makes it rather low risk when buying although it isn't so great for occasional or low volume sellers.

I stopped watching after I found out it was a botched deal, but part of me is still waiting for a guitar to show up one day...

Yeah, not like I deserved it but I would have been thrilled to actually get the bass instead of a boring old refund.
Still , can't complain and kudos to Ebay for doing their part.

I used the option to ask for refund from seller on both purchases, refunded in 3 days. Easy peasy

My items apparently are at my place in TX. :)

How do you start the refund process? Ebay is confusing as hell.

#2 says "See request details". There is no such thing as.

How to ask us to step in
If you and the seller aren't able to come to a resolution, you can ask us to step in. Here's how:

    1. Find the item in your Purchase History.
    2. Select See request details (if your item didn't arrive) or See return details (if you're trying to return an item).
    3. Select Ask eBay to step in.

as indicated a page or two earlier, the e-bay dispute process began w/ inquiry, three day wait, then follow-up msg of non-delivery.

    "The system works..."

    Peace - Deeve

I believe the system works. Everyone has proven this regarding acknowledgement of communicating refunds.

I can't get anywhere on ebay to start a process of communicating with the seller or ebay though.
