Thanks, smart guy.
I’d like this thread to stay open so I can read updates on what is being shipped and how everyone’s reimbursements are being handled.
Delivery day came and went. First guitar from N.J a no show. Claim filed!
Second guitar from china which showed no movement since 3/2 now says it's in N.Y. and will be delivered on Wednesday to Montana? (Ha Ha) We know that will not happen.
So eBay allowed me to file a second refund claim despite the delivery date being in April. Likely the many complaints and requests convinced them to allow an exception to their rules? An extremely mild disappointment, and actually an adventure shared with you all. It would have been a happy ending if only one of us would have gotten a $17.99 bass, (or guitar) but alas, it looks like nobody did.
If a simple few keystrokes is considered wasting time, hell, we're all guilty.
To add to my earlier statement re: Glarry, I also ordered one of the IRIN in white with a RW board. It DID have the fat neck so that was another reason to return the Glarry. Upon getting the IRIN & seeing finish flaws (predictable for these price points) I sent images to the seller. Without hesitating he refunded half. I got the IRIN strat for $25.
Having handled the Glarry, yes, I can see them selling for $17.99.
Am I expecting one now? No. There was a moment when I thought it was possible though.
I wasted more time responding here than I did on the Glarry.
I'll take the "smart guy" as a complement. I didn't, after all, think I'd get a guitar delivered from China for $17.99.
Good news/bad news:
The good: China Post tracking sez mine was delivered!
The bad: it was dropped off at a mailbox in Texas. I live in California...
Hey, I got a tracking update after 11 days of silence.
maybe my package fell over?
Got my refund from eBay.
@ArcticWhite, I haven't complained yet.
did you wait out the estimated delivery date?
Yeah, waited till mine was marked as delivered. I had to contact the seller, and then wait 5 days for non response.
Then contacted eBay to say he hadn't responded.
Refund came 30 seconds later.
Good to know, thanks.
I got the refund from EBay on the NJ order this morning.
Waiting for the China order to be not delivered so that I can file for a refund on it.
Figured I'd also confirm, that I got a delivery notice in Utah. I'm in Arizona.
Paypal already refunded my money so I don't think any other action is necessary?
Paypal automatically refunded my money.
did you have to submit a request to Paypal?
I called them early on when some of the sellers negative feedbacks warned about a scam. Paypal was helpful, said they would keep an eye on the seller, and freeze the funds until there was more information.
Ebay making me wait 6 days until they step in. It should be pretty damn obvious by now about this seller....why the wait
Not a lot of work to be made whole here, but I was kinda hoping for one of those miracles, because I wanted to give the amp to somebody who really could have used it. And, I kinda wanted another neck to work on.
well, there is some new. the seller left the building, is no member of ebay anymore.
so in the proces of the Ebay/paypal refund i run into the problem that ebay links my request throug to paypal, paypal wants me to take contact with the seller and in this proces i get a problem message that it can't be done.
now i try paypal, and there the helpdesk is not available because of corona.
now maild ebay about it how to manage this
You should have requested your refund through EBay and they would have done it in about 3 days, even though the user has been suspended. They don't make this clear enough since I've seen some people in other forums get tripped up by this.
