But I won't be able to play it for a few weeks. I've been eyeing Juniors for a while, and finally picked one up.

Anyone else have experience with these 2018 Juniors? Or any of the other 2018 Gibsons? These are the ones with the old style headstock script.

I have/had 3 including Melody Makers - a Joan Jett I flipped for a quick profit (too tempting) a 2008 single coil and currently a 2011 maple body. This one had a horrible home relic job.

Great guitars that are more versatile than you'd think. Necks are big 50s wide and 43mm nuts great for fat fingees! I had in mind a blue burst plus P-rails for this but it's a bit clean so I may look for a player/husk.

You can get a lot of different sounds out of them ... Chris Spedding comes to mind ... Great guitar and best of luck with it !!!

    Congratulations!
    I love Les Paul Juniors...
I have an Epiphone 57-reissue Les Paul Junior—all the sound, feel and looks, but 1/2 the price...mine has a Rio Grande P-90 in it.

Just played my Gibson LP Jr today, love, love, love the little tone monster!

Be sure to use the tone control for various textures and tone. It has a very wide range.

I'll try to get a picture tomorrow, but I've mentioned my 1960 Jr. I bought in 1969. It has a P-90 that I always compare to any new P-90 I get. It is truly incredible. It is my GOLD standard.

I bought a 2019 after gassing for an LP Jr for years. Love mine. Enjoy!

Yes the 2019s look great! The specs seem to be similar though, so I figured I would get this used one at a great price.

I tried to own one of those... After much debate, I decided to order one from Musician's Friend in TV Yellow, but it arrived with a cracked neck. I exchanged it for another one in sunburst, as they were all out of TV Yellow, but that one had a cracked neck too, and by that time, they were all sold out, never to return. I did play both of them before I sent them back and loved them! I don't think I've ever been more bummed out about not being able to buy a guitar. Those Juniors were something special. Didn't they come stock with a Gibson P90?

I have a 2018 SG Jr, and it's a beautifully made instrument. I'm sure yours is too.

I don’t know what it had stock—when I bought it the previous owner already put in a nastier-than-normal Rio Grande P-90...
