Welcome, from another Floridian in nearby Orlando.
I did the same thing. Got so much valuable info, decided to join the click. Great folks here.
Welcome to the board...and thanks for sharing your bio! I really get your guitar experiences since I have played off and on since i got my first cheap acoustic guitar in '67. And I'm still trying to figure these darn git-fiddles out.
Welcome to TDPRI
In 1970 the Allman Brothers used to play for free in Savannah too .... those were good times .
I'm really appreciating the welcome, guys. Before we let this rest, has anybody figured out where I got ''dkmw'' from? It's not my initials or a play on my name.
You didn't put that as your name when you registered?
You'd better contact the mods, because I don't know if you can change your member name in your profile. You can register again, but I don't think you can use the same email address.
I think he did it by choice; he's just wondering if any of us has figured it out. And I have no idea, other than a suspicion the D is for Duane.
I'm from Sarasota and Tampa.
Well sort of... I spent enough time there ;-)
welcome to the Forum
I think I registered properly, iirc my real name had to go on the ''form'' along with email etc. dkmw is my ''username'' and I won't keep you wondering much longer. That should be enough of a clue....
btw, Rod, I laugh every time I see your handle. I'm good at wrong notes too -probably hit more than you.
Ha! I... um.. I dont think that's possible.
Duane Knows My Wombat.
thats got to be it.
Hahaha. Duane has something to do with it, but the d doesn't stand for his name.
ah... Don't Keep Me Wonderin'
Whenever I saw Duane launch into his break on Don't Keep Me Wondering, every hair on my body would stand up.
Totally different genre, but that pretty much still happens to me every time I hear Steve Rothery's (Marillion) solo in 'Sugar Mice'
I think that's why we're all here; because music can do that to you.
I have no illusions that I'll ever rip into a solo and do ''that'' to somebody, but the satisfaction of learning and getting better every day is enough for me.
