Figured if I'm going to spend some time lurking in the shadows, I may as well say hi. A bit of searching around on the interwebs points to this place being a good wealth of info for all things guitars. I don't have a Tele at the moment, but one is certainly not to be ruled out (especially after watching some of Darrell Braun's videos). I'm just attempting to kick off the learning slope again (aka fresh meat). I started acquiring guitars about 9 years ago, starting with a Strat Am Special that I picked up from a local shop. A second hand Peavey Wolfgang, and a new LP Studio followed (got a deal on sale, couldn't resist) over the course of the next couple years...then life happened. The guitars turned into wall art, coming down once a year or so for restringing & oiling, leading into where I am today. A recent passion infusion has led me to pull them down and start the learning process all over again. A well used Schecter Omen was picked up off a buddy cheap to use as a learning tool for performing mods/repairs and setups. This way I don't have to worry about screwing something up on my other ones that would be currently difficult to replace. I'm a bit of a tinkerer by nature, so I'm really looking forward to getting into this end of things as well...maybe even more so than just learning how to play. Anyways, back to the shadows to try to learn some more...and try not to slip down the slippery slope too fast. Cheers!
