I like him, and especially the humor in his vocal delivery. My band opened for him a couple of times, so I've had a chance to chat with him a bit. Cool dude, writes some really cool tunes.

I've seen him a number of times. He's certainly deserving of the term "Monster Player".

Nice!, Is this backing band with upright bass and a snare drummer his usual line up then?

It is a left handed Strat bridge. Just without the whammy bar.

One of the best players i have have ever seen in the flesh. He calls himself
a " tone player ". Hard to argue with that!

Old school tele tones abound... ;)

Notice Junior is using DUOSONIC pickups between that Telecaster neck and Statocaster bridge assembly!

Love me some Junior Brown. A seriously underrated guitarist - I would love to see him play, live.

Saw him in Tucson, early 2000, packed house, small sweaty club, standing only, no sitting. He And his band rippped the joint. Nothing like that sleepy vid. None better

I got to open for him a few times....
His stage setup is very interesting. TWIN on 10 (rides his guitar volume) and does not use monitors!

When I knew him in the 80s-90s, another “quirk” was that he would not use a digital (or any other) tuning device.
Don’t know if that is still the case.
He does like to get loud.

I'm not usually one for lyrics involving a lot of jokes, but I saw him twice at Johnny D's in Somerville, MA and it was fantastic. I like when he really digs into the Albert King style blues.

Saw him 15-or-so years ago. Great show, great player.
