Junior Brown - how is he live?

Literally the day after I discovered him I looked up his tour schedule and found out he was playing near me that night. Didn't go. Still kicking myself.

 

I saw Jr in a Casino a few years ago. Hardly anybody showed up. Jr did his regular show, and invited all of us to stick around for the second show. When he came back out you could tell he was drinking. He asked us to start requesting songs. Man...he played ANYTHING we requested! It was wild! Hendrix, Surf Music, 50's music, Jerry Reed. You couldn't stump him. He cranked his amps up, his wife kept turning them down! He would just walk back and dime all the knobs again. LOL. We all stood there and got blown away musically and sonically. Jr asked me what I wanted to hear, I told him "Peelin Taters". He cracked up and told us how they asked for that one in Australia...he did the accent and everything. Then he launched into it and blew us away. That man is a national treasure I tell ya!

 

I was at this event and really enjoyed hearing him talk gits
