    Not that I recall. He has to have it at a certain angle in order to play the lapsteel on the bottom. I think wearing it would be 1) too heavy and 2) hang too vertical to play the bottom.

    I've seen him play a bunch of times since the 80s and he's never worn the guit-steel; it was always on a stand.

    He's a national treasure.

    I saw that!
    I met Junior around 1983.
    In those days he played a triple 8 string Fender console on tall legs and either a sunburst Dot 330 or (Dano) Silvertone U1.
    He didn’t sing, at the time.
    A few years later when he was with Tex Thomas, he and Chris O’Connell would sing Conway & Loretta duets.
    “We’re Playing House Away From Home” was one.
    I digress.
    Junior, and his gear have come a long way!

    I'd like to add that to my must-play bucket list - although I expect one needs lightning fast dexterity to change between them in a song!

    Now, if he added a wah pedal to the rig, he'd really have something special!!
