    He was incredibly gifted, and a gift to the music world. The first few lessons I took as a beginner were with JT. He was about 19 and I was 15. After a few weeks he made a trip to Nashville, and never came back, other than to visit. I saw him a few years later in the same music store in Terre Haute. By all accounts he remained the nice, laid back fellow he was as the young guy I met around 1980.
