I used to play with a female singer that did this song slow like this. It was killer. Then I ran across this today.

A girlfriend of my ex wife used to play the Supremes "You Keep Me Hanging On" at 33 back in the day because she didn't want to stump up for the Vanilla Fudge record

    Kinda cool, but, mostly creepy.
A couple of covers slowed down that I really liked are You Keep Me Hanging On, Vanilla Fudge, as mentioned by @suthol above, and Bette Middler's version of Do You Wanna Dance.
Can't think of a slow song sped up that was a hit.

Both Sides Now is one that has worked both ways - now, ha, ha.

The am radio hit version sung by Judy Collins

The later, slower, more pensive version by the writer, Joni Mitchell. I prefer this one...

I always thought James Taylor's Handyman was an original until I heard the real original version.

That's who I thought it was the first time I heard it. It was on an episode of Blacklist and I used Shazam to find out who was singing it. Weird but kinda neat too.

If you play "Imaginary Lovers" (ARS?) at 45, the album anyway, it sounds like Stevie Nicks.

My band took inspiration from that 'Jolene' clip several years back and came up with this version of it.
