Just watched this one the other night on Amazon Prime. Very well done and told me a few things about Johnny and Edgar that I didn't know. It's not loaded with music but I always find the life of someone like him to be quite fascinating. Been a fan since my early teens but for some reason I never got to see him live.

Johnny was just great and Edgar is too - talk about 2 brothers with ' prodigious' musical gifts.

I first heard Johnny ( early '70's, maybe 13) when a school buddy happened to have early JW on cassette. Stuff on a National, and that voice!
I had no conscious concept of Blues, just loved what I was hearing.

Did get to see a great ' super-guitars' Concert in DC in 1989:
Danny Gatton, then Johnny Winter, then Buddy Guy. Not bad!

Saw Johnny at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom in Atlanta about 1977. Very good show, unbelievably loud.

JW's blues are too jagged for me to enjoy, from what I've seen and heard on records and the media.
As I've got plenty of time in hand at the moment, I might run through his catalogue on Youtube and see if he's got more than I've been exposed to.

I was about to graduate High School, 4 or 5 years in playing an electric guitar....and this drops in. Phrasing, technique and passion....
I believe this is Johnny at his peak.
