I have the LP "Rock N Roll" from John Lennon and it is essential. Many years ago I saw the record at a friend's house and decided to buy it. I am glad I did. Some don't like this record, but it is John's sincere homage to the music that made him great, along with those Beatle chaps and many others.

I am one of the haters of that album.

This is the superior (and more sincere) "early rock n roll homage" album by an ex member of that particular boyband, IMO

John's seemed to lean too much toward reggae and/or horn sections.
I need to play Run Devil Run again soon.
I wish George had done a rockabilly covers album.
