I was watching this great footage of the man the other day. Just reminds me how much Jimi & BFG owe him.

My daughter could recognise his voice when she was about 10... :)

    Enjoy!

A foundation on whom so much is based. A real legendary musician. Often imitated, never duplicated.

Boom Boom - Blues Brothers. Doesn't get much more classic!

Unlike many of his contemporaries, John Lee also lived long enough to see some decent financial reward for his contributions to the world. This makes me happy.

As does this: John Lee Hooker and Ry Cooder

Lots of folks (try to) sound like John, but John doesn't sound like another soul who ever lived. A genuine original.
