Got My Martin Johnny Cash DX! Ups left it at the door when it was 17 degtee outside. There was ice on the Martin box. Oh well....they don’t know what’s in the box.

It’s a DX. I won’t exaggerate. It’s all HPL with a Fishman active system. I bought it because it was affordable and I love Mr. Cash.

A super Tele forum thrill was the day was when I met Jakedog and when we toured the the Rock Hall together and toured through the cash tour bus. Very cool. Love you Greg. Miss you.

So I bought this goofy guitar and it makes me feel good. I also have the framed set of stamps that was offered by the post office when they did the JC stamps.

Acoustic...not gonna lie.....sounds like a Formica Martin.

Plugged in.......sounds amazing. Onboard Fishman system.

Overall. Cool piece for a Cash/Martin dood. FYI I have 7 wooden Martin’s. Fan of Cash. Fan of CFMartin.

I plugged this thing in.....home PA is 2600 watts....and sang list night.

Coolest piece of plywood that I owe. It’s just a sexy DX but it warms my heart.

Wasn't familiar with that model at all. Crazy neck.

Wow that neck! Love it.

The product is called stratabond and Martin didn't invent it. It's birch plywood (hence the parallel lines) that is infused with a polymer. It's like iron when it's assembled and dried. The put pieces in a CNC machine and make necks out of it. It's indestructible. They use it for the X series necks and the LXM travel models. Stratabond is used for expensive knife handles and replacement gun stocks. If you're out in the woods busting brush with your gun stock, it's indestructible. I had a 12 string Martin X guitar and that thing stayed in tune no matter what the weather was doing. Very solid.

Nice 'take anywhere' guitar and great attitude.
I'm curious about your home PA?

Home PA is two Alto 1 x 10" plus horns - powered at 500 watts each and 1 Alto 1 x 12" subwoofer at 1200 watts. Mixer for home is a 8 channel Yamaha with built in compression and effects. I have an Amazon Alexa unit plugged into the PA in stereo (you buy an 1/8' stereo to 2 1/4" jack adapter cable on Amazon). I can verbally call out any song in the world and I can ask the Alexa to go back 25 seconds if I'm learning a guitar solo. It's so handy. It's like an assistant is running the sound. I highly recommend it.

Nice guitar!

Gotta love laminates!! My friend saved up for a Martin EC signature 000-28 and UPS delivered it a day early. It was left at or below zero overnight - despite requiring a signature. Anyway, he brought it in and just sat it in his living room for 24 hours in the box. Then removed the box and let it sit another 24 hours just in the case. After day two, we opened it up and everything was fine. The guitar still is fine 10+ years later - but every now and then you can feel it shiver...

I'm assuming that you have a mic??

Have fun

It doubles as a very nice stereo.

Does the guitar feel cold when you hold it? I find that to be true on my Little Martin LX which also has a laminate top.
