Joe Walsh (Aug. 4 at 8:30 p.m.), Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, $150-$250, whbpac.org,
Boy, those tickets ain't what I would call "affordable..."
He's going to be in Salina, KS, too...
Guess he wants life to keep being good.
Don't blame him! Hope he can draw a crowd so he can fuel the economy!
Tickets are half price in Kansas, we are getting hosed, just like we are still paying $4.50 a gallon for gas out here.
maybe he wants to restore his maserati so it can do 185 again
He is coming to good old SLC this summer too, would really like to see him.
I love Joe, but I'm a bit dissapointed that he recorded "Analog Man" to Pro Tools. Posted from a studio, sitting next to my 1" 8 track machine on which only 5 tracks are functioning properly at the moment.
Do you expect discount ticket prices in the Hamptons???
I expect to be able to go to shows at a normal price like everyone else, not be subjected to a screwing just because of the assumption of wealth in this area. Not everyone who lives here is rich. As a matter of fact the majority are not.
Could buy all his CD's and DVD ...watch them with friends,,bbq and still save money
Honestly, I had no idea- the perception that many people of the Hamptons is that real estate is so expensive it mst have driven all the normal folks out.
It's near that here, too. And our incomes/property values are a LOT lower.
He's supposed to be playing at the state fair here, but that's an hour south. And the "buy tickets" link goes to a "page not found" error.
Maybe that means it's a free show?
[Edit: Wow, it IS almost free. "TICKET PRICES: $25, $35, $40 (Tickets include fair admission IF purchased in advance)"]
Seriously? Jeez, that's kinda lame.
Saw him and Glen Fry play a rib festival in the early 90's, prior to Hell freezing over. Tickets were $5 for the day, including them, Southern Culture on the Skids, Steppenwolf, and some others I can't remember. Fry made the comment that "You'll never see us this cheap again." He then played "I Got Mine". Guess he was right.
Seen Joe plenty of times. Always a good show. But those prices are a bit steep. Does anything else come with them? Food, drinks, valet parking?
Saw him free at a 4th of July weekend at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, California once. If I had the 150.00 to go I'd be there. Might just be a special kind of show out there.
That's a lot of money to see Joe Walsh. I like Joe, but not that much.
oh...so he got his license back?
Sorry, although I like Joe Walsh he's certainly not worth $150-$300 (x2 for me). He was in the Phoenix area recently.....at a casino no less! Life's Been Good to Him So Far....
Saw him with the Ringo Starr All Starr band at the Ohio State Fair some years back. I'm pretty sure he was intoxicated at the time.
Saw him at Wildflower! just over a week ago; it was a fun show.
Also nearly free, if you don't count the food and booze I bought in the three days I spent there. :-D
