RIP...I enjoyed his work.
Now I want a cold Budweiser and a sweet 'tater
I saw him on a triple bill when I lived in Prince George, BC almost 20 years ago.
Mark Collie, Joe Diffie and Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder.
All three were great.
The touring bar band I played in did a bunch of his songs in the 90s.
He looked like he loved his work.
RIP, and thanks.
I just saw him January 10th at the Opry.
Very sad news. One of the best country singers in recent years.
Godspeed... Another great talent from Oklahoma...
I’m a Joe Diffie fan, would always watch his videos.
Joe was the real deal in the true tradition.
A sad day indeed.
Aw, damn. This guy always looked like he was having fun, the way dance music is meant to be. RIP, Mr. Diffie.
Awww sad news. RIP, Joe.
RIP Joe Diffie...
"...Put a Stiff Drink in my hand..."
I’ll miss you Joe.
Really good country singer. RIP.
My dad sat me down and made me promise to have “Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox” played at his funeral. He was serious as could be. He said he asked me because I was the only one that wouldn’t allow myself to be talked out of it, especially if I promised.
We shook on it. I hope to never have to live up to my promise.
I didn’t expect my dad to outlive the singer of the song, though...that’s so sad.
He had some good songs, some great ones and some really funny ones...RIP, sir.
Only 61 years old. Another victim of that, uh, well, you know....."thing".
....and I just noticed, he and I shared the same birthday. (month and date)
Yep. Same with this guy (that "thing")
Sad day for country music, they can't afford to lose the good ones, there ain't that many of them.
Rest easy, Joe.
RIP Joe. Another good one gone.
