I would listen to those on Sirius Xm and I thought they were outstanding. He went into the history behind bands and the journeys that members had taken and I just thought that was so cool. It was like us teenagers talking about who was playing with who and where they had been and where they were now. So cool. Not mentioning any names but I had a high school friend that I played in his band and he later on played with Bonamassa and toured the USA with him.

An early one, Nerdville episode 17, the legendary Brad Paisley... who is also a guitar nerd lol.

These 2 guys have a lot in common and seeing them just shoot the crap for an hour I found very entertaining. Enjoy...

What is this thing that some people have about Joe Bonamassa? It's almost as if people think he's a poseur or something. I've seen the guy up close four times and was blown back each and every time. If I had to dig really deep for a negative observation, it might be that he is so practiced on his lead runs that he can at times sound machine-like.

But the man can play, and he comes across as being humble about his gift. Not meaning to open up a puke-on-Joe discussion, but why would anyone think he can't play the dickens out of a guitar? For his level of ability, he seems relatively unknown in the world of hits.

I recently got to see Joe Bonamassa live for the first time at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado a few weeks ago.. it was a wonderful live music concert!!

Joe, I agreed, he was so humble, talented, entertaining, he just put on a hell of a live show... I'd see him live again anytime.

And all these Nerdville interviews, 69 now and counting.. Joe is truly a gracious kind host. His guests all seem to really enjoy their time chatting with him, and many are dear friends.

The Billy Gibbons interview in Nerdville today was wonderful!

It was great when Joe and Billy were espousing the virtues of the old Fender Esquire.
