I wasn't expecting that!
She's great. I used to hear her on rhythm guitar with Dion Payton's 43rd St. Band (the address of the Checkerboard during the 80s). The bar was owned by Buddy Guy. Junior Wells would join the band for a couple of sets later in the night. Back to Joanna, she played some slide solos in Payton's band, but otherwise played an accompaniment role. She did a very good job in that role, and it was clear she had done her homework and learned the history rhythmic guitar approaches.
She's got the chops! Yet another reason to visit Sweet Home Chicago... or catch her elsewhere 'round the country!
