I am looking for information on this guitar
Any info would be much appreciated
Never heard of 'em, but that's a lawsuit LP through and through.
Welcome to the forum !!
I looked into the lawsuit guitars online
Yes I think it is defo a les paul copy
I picked it up for under 50 bucks
Great sound, but shame its not worth hundreds
Thanks mate, great to be here
Hello and welcome to TDPRI. I've never heard of them either. Nice looking LP copy and the price was great. Enjoy it.
Cool project for 50 bucks. Welcome!
Yea, I can't find much info about Jim deacon online.
Just needs scratch plate and a few mods.
It sounds great on some of the old Paul weller stuff
Logo is so 80's!
Saw this on another forum:
'The quality varied depending on the year as they were sourced from different factories so can be a bit hit of miss.
Jim Deacon was the brand name of SMIRA (Scottish Musical Instrument Retailers Association) who sourced the instrument direct from factories in the far east in the 90s'
'Lets Play'! I recently sold an excellent 1970's SL380 Yamaha (LP) The name of the range was originally 'Lord Player' so as you can imagine, the headstock script looked a little familiar. Gibson threatened and Yamaha switched to 'Studio Lord'.
Other MIJ brands made similar minimal changes- enough to pacify Kalamazoo, but Ibanez held out and got sued, so they were the original 'Lawsuit' guitars.
Hi mate, Thanks for that info
It does have that 80s look about it.
This forum is where we say hello, so hello and welcome. Try posting your question at the sub-forum here called “Other Guitars, Other Instruments”.
