You might wanna' watch it if your curious about what's "wrong", really wrong with amps with no tubes
Those really are crappy sounding amplifiers, but Josh is clever enough to find a musical context for each one where a crappy sound works well in the mix.
Sound good to me.
I watched the intro. I suspect a ruse.
Good way to promote your JHS tube amp.
Edit: In case you don't understand, this is sarcasm also.
My favorite harp player thinks JHS pedals "suck" too
This same thread was running about a month ago.
( I'm a SS amp fan in the last 7-8 years. & now sort of collecting small ones, for kicks ( to use at gigs)
The only one that sounds good is the Vox.
I caught this first go-round; I thought the Dirt Road Special was cool.
Not to derail the thread or anything but he should have been wearing knee pads.
Shoulda been bubble-wrapped.
Unless he was break dancing and the board did a photo bomb.
Yea, the Pathfinder 15R amps are terrible. I'll pay shipping if you send all you have my way.
Josh and JHS are awesome
Thanks for posting this. Unbelievable channel. Very inspiring.
I dug the Freedom amp, which I’d never heard of before. I wish he’d have played the JC120 with the chorus off for part of the time. I dig that hard, accurate thing JCs do with the upper mids and highs.
Can't really explain it, but I know what you mean. Really love the way that amp sounds without the chorus.
You know you'd be right if you were thinking of someone else with different perspective ,
our clubs moto is not, "SKATE TO LIVE" , "IT'S SKATE TO SUFFER!" This particular road has tons of blind corners and lots of speeding cars, that's why it's one of our favorite places to skate, lots of steep fast down hill sections,
lots of pot holes and dips. This hill has claimed with the help of a Lexus ES Sedan doing over 60 mph our sergeant at arms. Nihilism, Skating, Death that's our real goals , we don't need drugs we skate to die, seeing how you brought up morality and skating.
The JHS Show is the best comedy show on YT. Even when you don't agree with the content you are still entertained. Although I do use many solid state amps. They're cheap and sound good, at least some of them. I have a Roland Cube 100 (80s), a Roland Cube 80X, a Peavey Special 130 and a Yamaha JX 40. I like those better than the amps on the video. I wouldn't mind having a smaller version of the Jazz Chorus. My 80X does a pretty good impersonation of it though.
