I've owned a bunch of Tube Screamers and TS based overdrive pedals, and they all sounded pretty similar to me, so it seems like a gimmick.
And overpriced IMO, if you want one wait a while and get a used one for much less.

I have no experience with it, but been tempted. $50 micro od-1 clone.

Says true bypass in one place and buffered bypass in another.[emoji85]

As much as I like TSs, this is tantamount to a modeling amp that does 9 different Fender Champs...

Now I'll have nightmares. I love my old Champ more than I love Tubescreamer tone.

Sorry I started another thread on this topic. I got the video from Reverb and I was all excited. Duh. I should have noticed that we were already discussing this.

I wish they'd had Andy play the same tune with all of them. As it is I watch that video and I'd never be able to tell he was switching to different circuits.

Definitely silly for 99% of us. No one is going to be able to tell which one you use, they'll notice your playing instead.

I think they should use a looper (before the demoed pedal) and just loop as they switch settings.

I tend to agree that they should use the same pre-recorded passage to compare all settings or pedals in a demo. It's impossible to tell how they'll respond to touch unless they're all compared with the identical performance as source.

I bet there is a psychological effect, too. "I just punched the pedal on, so I'm going to dig into the guitar more".

I'm happy to see they included the TS-7's 'Hot' mode... that's been my go-to lead sound for years now. I like the OD-1 as well, but I can get SD-1s for $35 all day long.

$200 for a bunch of Tubescreamers? Nice work on JHS' part, but, no...

Anyone thinking about buying that JHS pedal should consider the Ibanez TS9DX instead. Much more useful settings from straight TS9 to modded versions and only half the cost.

You've seen one Tubescreamer, you've seen 'em all.

I think the Ibanez Nu Tube Screamer sounds better than most I've heard. But not $249 better.

Seems pretty pointless, but since it's from jhs I already know I don't want it.

IMO a, made in USA for 229$ with a few cool unique TS options is not a bad price. The new Nu-tube and the Ibanez deluxe are both 20$ more expensive.

    DS7 hot- $40.00
    808 RI - $179.00

Just these two options and Bobs your uncle.

Plus you get a Keeley mod option.
