Great footage from the german tv show Beat Club.
Love Sandy, an all time great! Heartbreakingly soulful singer and phenomenal writer. And Jerry Donahue, an American guitarist in a very British band.
Anybody notice he has his amp facing backward? Dumb question....why?
Stops the sound from projecting off the stage, and messing up the the live mix. Nowadays amps are often placed under stages, back stage, behind plexi, or simple ignored altogether in favor of modelers - all in order to accomplish a similar result.
Now - this is a TV show so the "why" might not make sense. I don't know anything about that show, how it was recorded/mixed, etc... etc... All I can explain is why it is "normally" done, not why it was done in this case
